Introduction to Sheep Husbandry and Lambing

Based around our flock of Llanwenog sheep at Treberfedd, this introductory course will include: Choosing the right breed of sheep for your smallholding. Caring for the ewe through the seasons, feeding the ewe, sheep handling, housing, breeding and lambing.

Chicken Keeping

Taught by experienced organic egg producer Liz Findlay, this course will teach you all you need to know about keeping chickens at home.

The course will cover what breed to choose, housing, feeding and demonstration of how to handle the hens. The course is suitable for beginners and more experienced chicken keepers alike.

Introduction to Cattle Husbandry

The course will look at the herd of traditional hereford cows at Treberfedd and include topics such as: choosing the right cow for your smallholding, care of the cow and calf, housing and feeding, calving and marketing your produce.
