With young children of our own, we know that Treberfedd Farm is a great base for family holidays. Around Ceredigion there is good range of things to do with the family from activity and adventure centres, boat trips and water sports, to country houses, steam trains, gardens and wildlife parks.
You don’t need to venture far to keep everyone entertained on a family break. At Treberfedd, we offer organic farm trails for the kids to meet the animals and explore working life on a organic working farm.
Here are some of our favourite places to visit with the children:
Just 15 minutes from Treberfedd, Tyglyn walled garden is a hidden gem where you won’t find many tourists. Open to the public all year round, the garden occupies a tranquil spot by the River Aeron. It’s a woodland walk, with meandering paths and water features, enjoyed by everyone.
Learn about the secret life of bees at New Quay Honey Farm and take home some local wildflower honey.
Take to the sea on a sunny day with a dolphin watching boat trip from New Quay. There is lots of wildlife to see in Cardigan Bay including seals, dolphins and many sea birds.
Fantasy Farm Park is great for young children who can feed lambs and rabbits and bounce around the soft play area.
There are two steam railways within easy reach of Treberfedd. The Rheidol Railway will take you all the way to Devil’s Bridge through some spectacular welsh landscapes. The Gwili Railway near Carmarthen winds it’s along a leafy valley and is a good outing for all the family.
Visit Treberfedd Farm and find out what you can do today.
